Captain Jack is a flexible, three-level, story-based course suitable for every teaching situation. Based on the adventures of the fun-loving parrot Captain Jack, it aims to help pupils become confident learners of English as they join Jack and friends on their discovery of the world around them. The Story Cards have enlarged version of the pictures from the stories in the Pupil´s Book. They can be used by teachers to present and practise the stories. The story text (as well as guidelines for telling the story) are written on the back of each card enabling teachers to narrate the story without having to memorise it.

Metodika používaná v učebnici Cheeky Monkey

Učebnice založená na dvou konceptech: story-based approach (výuce pomocí příběhu) a TPR (Total Physical Response – zapojení motorické aktivity do procesu osvojování jazyka). Cheeky's jungle gym vychází právě z těchto přístupů, kdy se děti učí pomocí aktivit, tanečků a hudebních her. Osvojování
