Leslie A. Hill is an internationally known ELT expert who has published, in a number of different countries, about 240 books in the field of ELT plus gramophone records, tapes and lessons for Educational Television Overseas. He is the Chairman of Hill Publications Limited and based in the Channel Islands, UK.

This work includes 30 short anecdotes, each about 150 words, for oral or written retelling, folllowed by a set of comprehension questions on the passage, and contains a wordlist at the back. It trains students to reproduce material they have listened to or read.
