The Murder at the Vicarage / Vražda na faře

A murder takes place at the vicarage in the small village of St. Mary Mead, its victim is the least favorite of the local population. Therefore, there are numerous people suspicious. Miss Marple, who appears in this story by Agatha Christie for the first time, follows the investigation with a great interest. Finally, this agile and bright old lady helps the police with her advice and the murderer who carried out his crime very cleverly and cunningly is eventually caught.

Na faře v malé vesnici St. Mary Mead dojde k vraždě, jejíž obětí je zdejší nejneoblíbenější obyvatel. Podezřelých je tedy celá řada. Vyšetřování případu sleduje i slečna Marplová, která se v tomto příběhu Agathy Christie objevuje vůbec poprvé. Čiperná a bystrá stará dáma nakonec pomůže policii svou radou a vrah, který svůj zločin provedl velice důmyslně a mazaně, je nakonec dopaden.
